Top 3 Essential Oils To Invest In

If you're just getting started with oils or looking to simplify your collection, here are three main essential oils I would recommend that are cost effective while giving  you the most "bang for your buck" offering you many great benefits inside their little bottles!

First up we have LAVENDER

Lavandula angustifolia, Lavandula officinalis

Lavender is the one of the most universal essentials oils that can be used. It's list of beneficial properties is a long one!

Here's a list of some of the most common ones:

Calming to the nervous system

Promotes a more restful sleep

May soothe mild burns

Used to treat skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, bug bites, dandruff etc.

The Second one... PEPPERMINT

Mentha piperita

By nature peppermint is stimulating and at first instance creates a  "warming" effect when used. However, the overall effect this essential oil offers is refreshing and cooling.

Here are some of the other benefits it can produce:

Cooling to the digestive system

Relives nausea

Antiseptic and expectorant qualities (supports respiratory system)

May help to cool a room when diffused

Safety: Peppermint is considered to be a "hot" oil,  do not use "neat" as in straight out of the bottle. Always dilute with a carrier oil and avoid contact with your eyes and all mucous membranes.

Not safe to use when pregnant or while breast-feeding, and not for use on children under the age of 3.

Use with caution in individuals with high blood pressure.

Last but not least...LEMON

Citrus limonum

The clean, sugary sweet scent of Lemon can be found in many products, from candy to household cleaners. Society generally is very fond of the Lemon scent. That aside, Pure lemon essential oil brings more than just a delicious scent to the table, it really does have benefits to offer.

Here are some of them:

Has some effects to reduce the onset of nightmares

Is astringent in nature

May provide relief with colds and flu symptoms

Antibacterial

Can sharpen mental focus and decrease confusion

Mood lifting

Safety: Lemon essential oil can be Phototoxic- avoid exposure to direct sunlight and/or sunbeds for 12 hrs. after apply to the skin.

              What's The Difference?
Pure Essential Oils  vs  Synthetic Oils

"Why can't I just use an oil that smells good?"  You ask?... Let's take a look!
There's a huge difference between pure natural essential oils and a synthetic oil or fragrance.

True essential oils are actual plant matter harvested from nature itself. Nature has a structure that cannot be duplicated in a factory. Oils that are man-made will always be artificial and will not contain
the beneficial properties that nature has to offer us.
Pure natural essential oils come from the life force of nature and offer an organic therapeutic value to us humans as we share this earth with all of nature.
Nothing is organic (coming directly from the earth) in an artificial scent or "essential oil". They simply are a man-made product that has tried it's best to copy the chemical constituents that make up a real pure natural oil from nature.
Yes, pure Essential Oils cost more however, a little goes a long way in reaping the benefits that come in even one little drop.
And remember.....You're worth it!
